As a psychiatrist, I am fascinated by the subtle manipulation marketers use in commercials to get their target clients to buy their products. In this article I would like to explain what makes 11 of the best commercials I have ever seen so catchy.

There are twenty basic moves in parkour, and while in homemade parkour videos we don’t often see them performed in combos of two or greater (out of sheer complexity!), through the magic of editing, an entire sequence of moves can be cut together to look like one non-stop stunt sequence, often to breathtaking effect.

At first I didn’t feel like this clip was particularly creative but as I watched it more, I realized that aside from the juxtaposition of similar beats/events/lines here, there’s a rhythm to the way these moments are edited together…and I like it.

In order to be a great athlete, you have to have a great sense of humor. Let’s take Gheorghe Muresan, for example. Gheorghe’s comedic timing in My Giant was absolutely breathtaking. Brian Bosworth reminded many in Hollywood of a young Lenny Bruce in Stone Cold.
